Wear the shirt. Share your story.

Uncmmn 526 (pronounced “Uncommon 5:26”) is a Christ-inspired initiative (based near Detroit, MI) to trigger praise and glory to God through the sharing of testimonies. The Uncmmn 526 tshirt is more of a commitment than a fashion statement. Simply share your story to an inquirer, give credit to God, and believe for God to pull that inquirer in closer relationship with Him.

Purpose of Website:

This site is to serve as a testimony archive to display the glory of God and to share His glory with others. I expect the stories presented will become more common as greater works are initiated through the body of Christ. I see us being encouraged and strengthened by reading our shared testimonies (Rev. 12:11).

Inspiration:

Luke 5:26 // “Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, ‘We have seen remarkable things today.'”

In this context, a former paraplegic and some men had an uncommon experience that involved forgiveness and the healing power of Christ. This was initiated by their uncommon, faith-filled actions.

I believe what Christ said in John 14:12 that those who believe in Christ will do greater works than Him. So I hope to make the uncommon acts witnessed in the bible more common by displaying the testimonies of myself and others.

Tshirt Responsibility:

A responsibility is accepted upon wearing that whenever asked about the meaning of your tshirt, you will share how God has helped you. I pray for the love of God to work in you as you wear it, believing you will have the courage to share your testimony to whomever asks.

Do not view this as a call to preach and teach an extensive “message” to an inquiring friend or stranger. Sharing your story may lead to deeper conversation and prayer, or it may appear to not lead towards anything. This is absolutely fine. The purpose of this initiative is to share what God has done for you. What happens afterwards is on God. So allow God to carry the pressure of changing/saving and follow His lead.

Alone, we cannot reach everyone who needs God (Love), but collectively our stories can reach many and bring glory to His name. Something as simple as sharing what God did for you can set in motion the acts of Christ to manifest in someone’s life that will change them forever.
